# Valeria

> Valeria is an AI shopping assistant that merchants add to their online store. Shoppers chat with it on the storefront to find products, get recommendations, build their cart and get answers about the store.

Valeria is platform-neutral: Shopify is the first supported commerce platform, and custom platforms are supported by arrangement with the Valeria team. Merchants manage Valeria from the Retailer Portal. This documentation is written for merchants.
